Urban Fantasy Reads officially launches on August 1. Right now while we’re building our audience and mailing list, promotion spots are free – we just ask for you to promote our site in your newsletter, website and/or Facebook Page/Group. In the future, once we have subscribers, we will have fees and they will be announced both here and on our Author/Publisher Newsletter.
Urban Fantasy Reads offers several ways to promote books and authors.
New Releases Newsletter
One of the biggest promotions missing for most books is a regular-priced, new release promotion to get news of your new release out there without reducing the price right away. We hear you loud and clear. One of the offerings will be a once a week New Release newsletter which will be coming out on Monday and will include pre-orders releasing that week as well as books that have released in the last 30 days. A new release book is only eligible for the new release blast once in the 30 day period.
There will be only 10 slots per newsletter.
Price: TBD (Currently free in exchange for promoting Urban Fantasy Reads)

Featured Book – Newsletter and Website Feature
Are you looking to have your book featured in one of the two top listings in the newsletter for a day and on the homepage of the website for 4 days?
If so, consider the Newsletter and Website Feature.
Each day will have one featured spot each for Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance. In any newsletter that goes out for just one genre or the other, the featured book for that genre will appear at the top of that email, no matter what other genres are included. And the book will be on the site for at least six months and searchable through the search function.

Sales Blasts
Stacking promotional sites for books at a discount is an integral part of marketing for authors, indie and traditional alike. We want to help!
We will be offering sales newsletters every day of the week. Each newsletter will have a cap for how many books appear, to be determined. While we would like to keep a maximum number per sub-genre, we realize as we launch, that may not be possible, so will open to more sub-genres than we would normally in the future.
Readers love deals. For Sales Blasts, books should be priced at $0.99 or less, however, we will accept discounted books up to $2.99.

Boxed Set Sales
While boxed sets can be promoted in the Sales Blasts any day of the week, Wednesdays will have a special Boxed Set Sale newsletter. There will be a max of 14 boxed sets per Wednesday. Boxed Set Sales on Wednesday can be purchased individually or can be added if you purchase a sales blast spot during the week for $5 more
(Note: there will only be one newsletter that goes out containing both Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance Boxed Sets.)
SPECIAL: Freebie Friday
While free books can be promoted in the Sales Blasts any day of the week, the Freebie Friday newsletter will ONLY include free books and will be a special newsletter JUST for free books. There will be a max of 14 free books per Friday. Freebie Friday spots can be purchased by themselves or can be added if you purchase a sales spot during the week for $5 more.
The idea behind Freebie Friday is it will give an opportunity to promote on social media with the appropriate hashtags.
There will only be ONE Freebie Friday newsletter and it will include both urban fantasy and paranormal romance listings.
Author Interview
Want potential new readers, or even existing readers, to learn more about you? Want to be listed on our website as an urban fantasy or paranormal romance author, or both?
If so, consider answering an author interview, which will include links to your website, Amazon profile (and other profiles if applicable), and social media as well as your photo and answers to your interview questions.
Right now, interviews are free, but will be a paid feature in the near future.
